Impressionnant de par ses performances, Pedro le Kraken est un beatmaker et finger drummer hors du commun. Ambassadeur de la marque Akai Professional, adoubé entre autres par Imhotep (IAM) et Orelsan, le Nantais est un véritable génie du finger drumming, une discipline avant-gardiste florissante regroupant des artistes tels que AraabMuzik, Jeremy Ellis ou encore plus récemment Fred Again.

Vainqueur du World Championship de finger drumming du Sample Music Festival à Berlin en septembre 2019, il remporte également l’édition en ligne en décembre 2023. Le jury qualifie sa composition de « phénomale ».

Le double champion du monde français en titre commence la batterie à 8 ans, puis au fil du temps apprend la guitare, la basse, le piano, l'écriture puis la MPC en 2012. Ses influences musicales sont pertinemment variées : The Prodigy, Hans Zimmer, Daft Punk, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Iam, Skread, Nirvana, The Offspring, System Of A Down ou encore Antonio Vivaldi…

Maîtrisant avec brio les aspects rythmiques et mélodiques, il réalise sur MPC en studio comme en live, le travail d’un groupe à lui seul. Entre ses compositions originales abouties, son jeu bluffant défiant les lois de la technique, sa scénographie lumineuse interactive unique et ses animations vidéos qui transportent, Pedro le Kraken propose dans plusieurs formats scéniques adaptables, un show visuel captivant alliant musiques actuelles et urbaines.

Lancé en solo depuis fin 2015, le monstre scénique aux tentacules agiles partage la scène avec notamment Orelsan, Kery James, Cut Killer, Tony Romera, Vald, Georgio, Feder, Alltta, Yaniss Odua, Demi-Portion, Kacem Wapalek, Swift Guad, Al’Tarba mais aussi Dope D.O.D, Gavlyn, Reverie, The Beatnuts, ... La qualité de ses productions percutantes et énergiques, ainsi que la technique de ses performances ont instantanément retenu l'attention du public, sans même avoir sorti de projet.

Février 2017, il devient sponsorisé par Akai Professional (marque légendaire créatrice des MPC’s) mais aussi démonstrateur officiel, puis ambassadeur.

Le virtuose des pads lance par la suite « Very Pad Trip Vol.1 »: un EP studio accompagné d’une web série inédite, dans laquelle il joue en live les titres de l’EP et créer l’innovation avec un concept scénographique unique : le pad géant. En partenariat avec Akai Professional, on le voit jouer sur la MPC Live en exclusivité mondiale, deux mois avant qu’elle sorte.

Réalisée au Parc de la Beaujoire lors d’un événement organisé par la Ville de Nantes, une vidéo live de son titre "Dum dee drum" a par ailleurs cumulé plus de 10 millions de vues sur Facebook.

Avec l’engouement créé par son projet et la découverte du finger drumming auprès d’un large public, il commence à enseigner cette discipline dans plusieurs établissements, notamment à Paris. Une grande première en France dans l'apprentissage musical.

Depuis 2018, son parcours prend une envergure internationale en réalisant des concerts à Londres (Angleterre), Berlin (Allemagne), Tournai (Belgique), Turin (Italie), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) ou encore Dubaï (Émirats Arabes Unis). Il est par la suite interviewé par les radios NRJ, Mouv', Virgin Radio mais aussi La Boite Noire du Musicien et France 3.

Parallèlement il collabore dans l’univers du football avec Séan Garnier (Double champion du monde de freestyle foot), qui utilise le titre "Get Me" pour l’une de ses vidéos. Puis il compose pour la marque Puma, pour la vidéo de présentation du nouveau maillot du SC Amiens.

Après plus de 200 concerts dans 7 pays, l’icône du finger drumming souvent confondue avec un DJ, dont il assure la fonction, est une valeur sûre de la scène Européenne. Venant d’achever son nouvel EP, Pedro le Kraken annonce « Very Pad Trip » Saison 2 pour début 2024, avec un concept bien plus surprenant que vous ne pourrez l’imaginer…

Impressive for his performances, Pedro le Kraken is an extraordinary beatmaker and finger drummer. Ambassador of the Akai Professional brand, dubbed among others by Imhotep (IAM) and Orelsan, the Nantais is a true genius of finger drumming, a flourishing avant-garde discipline bringing together artists such as AraabMuzik, Jeremy Ellis or even more recently Fred Again.

Launched solo since late 2015, the stage monster with agile tentacles shares the stage with Orelsan, Cut Killer, Tony Romera, Vald, Feder, Alltta, but also Dope D.O.D, Gavlyn, Reverie, The Beatnuts, ... The quality of his impactful and energetic productions, as well as the technique of his performances instantly caught the attention of the public, without even having left a project.

The virtuoso of the pads then launches «Very Pad Trip Vol.1»: a studio EP accompanied by a new web series, in which he plays live the titles of the EP and create innovation with a unique scenographic concept: the giant pad. In partnership with Akai Professional, we see him playing on the MPC Live in world exclusivity, two months before it comes out.

Produced at the Parc de la Beaujoire during an event organized by the City of Nantes, a live video of its title "Dum dee drum" has also accumulated more than 10 million views on Facebook.
